Rose Kauffman is Of Counsel to the firm. As such, she primarily provides counsel and assistance to the other attorneys in the firm in the areas of family law, business planning, estate planning and estate administration/probate. She continues to provide counsel to clients on a limited basis in these areas.

Rose’s practice has evolved exclusively to non-court alternatives in dispute resolution. This includes acting as a neutral mediator or conciliator, as well as representing clients in the Collaborative Law process. She attends frequent training in these resolution alternatives. Rose believes most clients are best served both emotionally and financially by resolving disputes out of court. Unfortunately, some situations cannot be resolved amicably. In the event litigation is necessary, Stephanie VanHorn and David Engle will fight zealously to protect our client’s interest throughout the process.

Rose has been named by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils as an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). This designation recognizes estate planning professionals who meet stringent requirements of experience, knowledge, education, professional reputation and character. An AEP designee embraces a team concept of estate planning, which incorporates consultations with clients’ financial planners and accountants as appropriate.
