Mediation

Trusted In Mediation

Mediation is a process in which a neutral third party, the mediator, facilitates a discussion that will lead to the resolution of a dispute. Mediation is most commonly used in divorce and custody disputes. It can also be helpful in resolving disputes involving families, business and neighbors. Mediation is designed to provide the parties with an opportunity for consensual and voluntary resolution of their disputes in a manner that minimizes costs, avoids delay and avoids the risk and uncertainty of a court’s involvement. Amicable agreements leave open the possibility for positive future relationships. Early resolution of disputes allows the parties to avoid the rigors and expense of discovery and trial.

Attorney Rose Kauffman has offered mediation services in the central Pennsylvania region for over 20 years. She has had extensive mediation and conflict resolution training in many different aspects of the process. Stephanie VanHorn is now continuing the mediation services begun by Attorney Rose Kauffman and offers services in the areas of Family Law and Divorce Mediation.

Rose also provides one-on-one conflict coaching services for individuals who encounter disputes within their daily lives, whether in a work or personal situation. Coaching services are also valuable for those who will be parties to a negotiation or mediation process.
